Fall is once again upon us, and, as the temperature gets colder and leaves fall to the ground, it’s time to start preparing for the holidays. We want to share with you a way to use Tommy’s Jerky that you may not have considered before. A bowl of delicious brussel sprouts and your favorite flavor of Tommy’s Jerky can make an excellent side dish for any holiday occasion. Follow the recipe below to take you holiday dinner to another level!
What You’ll Need:
- 1 package of your favorite Tommy’s Jerky chopped or shredded
- ½ lb. package of fresh/frozen brussel sprouts
- 4 Tbsp butter
- ½ cup white wine
- 1 tsp balsamic vinegar
- ½ tsp thyme
- 1 Tbsp chopped garlic
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Medium size cast iron or heavy skillet
How It’s Made:
- Wash and trim brussels sprouts, cut them in half lengthwise
- Place cast iron or heavy skillet over medium heat, add butter then sprouts cut side down
- Sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally
- Add garlic and continue to sauté for 30 seconds
- Add chosen Tommy’s Jerky flavor, thyme, vinegar, and white wine, stirring until pan is completely deglazed
- Continue stirring and deglazing until pan is clean and sprouts are tender
- Add black pepper to taste
